LAS VEGAS - For the third time in four games, the Fresno Grizzlies have defeated the Las Vegas 51s. Fresno beat Las Vegas 8-5 Thursday night.
Las Vegas got on the scoreboard first with an RBI single by Travis d'Arnaud in the first inning. Fresno responded with seven unanswered runs, including two home runs from Roger Kieschnick and Francisco Peguero respectively.
Las Vegas tried to bounce back, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the score 7-4.
The 51s would add one more run in the ninth inning, before Heath Hembree shut the door for the save.
Eric Hacker won his second game of the season for the Grizzlies. Bill Murphy dropped to 0-2 on the season for the 51s.
