Former BHL teammates Boe, Fallon reunited in ECHL - Bemidji Pioneer

LAS VEGAS, Nev. â€" Joe Fallon and Channing Boe, who played together on various Bemidji Youth Hockey teams, have been reunited with the 2011-12 Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL.

The Wranglers finished the regular season in second place in the Pacific Division and have advanced to the third round of the ECHL playoffs. Las Vegas eliminated Idaho in the second round and now will take on defending Kelly Cup champion Alaska.

The two players had not played together since youth hockey in Bemidji. The two were on the Bemidji Bantam A team that won the VFW state tournament. Longtime Bemidji coaches Bob Fitzgerald and Keith Huerd led that 1999-2000 team to a 43-10-1 record.

Fallon, a 2003 BHS graduate, played Division I hockey at Vermont of Hockey East. Following graduation Fallon has played in both the AHL and the ECHL. This season played 47 regular-season games for the Wranglers and had 30 wins, three shutouts and a 0.91 save perecentage. He also played nine games for the Houston Aeros with a 5-2 record.

Fallon is 2-0 in the playoffs with a .920 goals against average and a .967 save percentage.

Boe, a 2005 BHS graduate, played Division I hockey at Minnesota State of the WCHA where he was an assistant captain for two years. This season he played 75 games at defense for Las Vegas, had 18 points and was +8.

During the eight playoff games Boe is +5 with four shots on goal.
