Fresno State routs Nevada in WAC women's basketball opener - Fresno Bee

Veronica Wilson's career-high 18 points led four Fresno State players in double figures in an 85-67 blowout of Nevada today in a Western Athletic Conference women’s basketball opener at the Save Mart Center.

The Bulldogs improved to 13-4 overall and the Wolf Pack dropped to 4-12.

Fresno State made 14 of 31 3-point shots, won the boards 40-33 and the reserves outscored Nevada's 45-19 to help give seventh-year Bulldogs coach Adrian Wiggins his 200th career victory, including his two years at Cameron University in Oklahoma.

Wilson, Madison Parrish and Taylor Thompson each hit three 3s, and seven Bulldogs in all struck from long range.

Bree Farley and Parrish came off the bench for 14 and 13 points, respectively. Thompson added 11 points, Ki-Ki Moore had eight with 12 rebounds and Alex Sheedy scored nine.

The Bulldogs go on the road next week to Utah State and Idaho, then return home the following week to face San Jose State and Hawaii.
