Aug. 1, 2012 â" The Las Vegas Locomotives begin their quest for a third title in four years on Wednesday, Sept. 19, when they open the United Football Leagueâs season with a home game against the Sacramento Mountain Lions. All UFL games this season will be televised by CBS Sports Network, available in more than 99 million homes, giving the league a national presence.

The Mountain Lions-Locos game on Wednesday is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET on CBSSN. The Destroyers and Nighthawks play at 7 p.m. ET on Friday.
âWeâre looking forward to opening day and getting back on the field,â said Fassel, beginning his fourth season as the Locosâ coach. âWeâve created a winning tradition in Las Vegas and we want to continue that for our fans and for the new audience weâll be reaching through CBS Sports Network.â
The UFLâs four teams will play eight games, concluding the regular season on the nights of Wednesday, Nov. 7, and Friday, Nov. 9. The UFLâs fourth championship game will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, at 9 p.m. ET., at a site to be determined.

âWeâre proud of what we were able to accomplish in 2011, but this is a new season and, in a lot of ways a new league,â Schottenheimer said.
