Las Vegas 51s launch 13 over Padres | Tucson Padres baseball - TucsonSentinel.com

Adam Lind hit two home runs and drove in six Monday, as the Las Vegas 51s beat the Tucson Padres 13-3 at Cashman Field.

Lind went 3-for-5 in the game with a three-run double in the fourth, a two-run home run in the sixth and a solo shot to begin the bottom of the eighth. Nine-time Major League All-Star Vladimir Guerrero went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs for Las Vegas. Guerrero was signed to a minor league contract by the Toronto Blue Jays in May.

Tucson starter Matt Palmer exited the game with two outs in the fourth and allowed six earned runs in his return to the Tucson rotation. Palmer retired the first two hitters in the fourth before Las Vegas exploded for six runs, sending seven batters to the plate before the third out was made.

Yasmani Grandal went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the loss. The Padres collected six hits in the game, all singles.

The Padres have lost five consecutive games, their third losing streak of that length this season. Tucson hasn't lost more than five in a row in 2012. The T-Pads are 21-43, in fourth place, 19.5 games out of first place, while Las Vegas advanced to 36-28, slotting in third place, 4.5 games back.

Tim Hagerty is the play-by-play announcer for the Tucson Padres.
