BOISE, Idaho â" The Las Vegas Wranglers fell to the Idaho Steelheads Thursday night 4-3. With the loss, Las Vegas holds a 2-1 lead in the series in the ECHL Western Conference Semifinals.
The Steelheads scored on power play goals in the first and second periods. Las Vegas responded with a power play goal of its own, courtesy of left wing Pete MacArthur. Wranglers left wing Josh Lunden tied the game late in the second period.
Las Vegas took the lead in the third period on a goal from defenseman Jeff May. Idaho responded with a goal by forward Cody Purves. Steelheads forward Chad Nehring scored the game-winning goal a short time later.
The two teams face off in Game Four Saturday night at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.
