Las Vegas 51s Snap Losing Streak, Beat Salt Lake 8-4 - KLAS-TV

SALT LAKE CITY â€" The Las Vegas 51s snapped a five-game losing streak Thursday, defeating the Salt Lake Bees 8-4.

The 51s took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Adeiny Hechavarria and a sacrifice hit by Travis Snider.

The 51s would add two more runs in the fourth inning â€" including a home run by Travis d'Arnaud. Salt Lake would respond in the bottom of the fourth. The Bees scored three runs, including a two-RBI double by Ed Lucas.

A home run by the 51s' Moises Sierra contributed to a three-run fifth inning by Las Vegas â€" giving the 51s a 7-3 lead. Each team would add one more run in the seventh inning.

The 51s' Scott Richmond struck out seven batters in the win â€" his first of the season. Salt Lake starter Trevor Bell took the loss.
