SALT LAKE CITY â" The Las Vegas 51s snapped a five-game losing streak Thursday, defeating the Salt Lake Bees 8-4.
The 51s took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Adeiny Hechavarria and a sacrifice hit by Travis Snider.
The 51s would add two more runs in the fourth inning â" including a home run by Travis d'Arnaud. Salt Lake would respond in the bottom of the fourth. The Bees scored three runs, including a two-RBI double by Ed Lucas.
A home run by the 51s' Moises Sierra contributed to a three-run fifth inning by Las Vegas â" giving the 51s a 7-3 lead. Each team would add one more run in the seventh inning.
The 51s' Scott Richmond struck out seven batters in the win â" his first of the season. Salt Lake starter Trevor Bell took the loss.
