51s Lose Fourth Straight, Fall to Salt Lake - KLAS-TV

SALT LAKE CITY - The Las Vegas 51s lost their fourth straight game Tuesday, falling to the Salt Lake Bees 3-2.

The 51s took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning, when Yan Gomes doubled, bringing Moises Sierra in for the score.

The Bees would respond in the bottom of the second inning, when Andrew Romine scored on a wild pitch by pitcher Bill Murphy. Outfielder Ed Lucas then gave Salt Lake the go-ahead run on an RBI single.

Neither team scored more runs until the top of the ninth inning, when Gomes brought in Ricardo Nanita on an RBI double, tying the game at 2-2.

Las Vegas brought in reliever Ryota Igarashi for the save in the bottom of the ninth, but he gave up two hits â€" including the game winning RBI double to Ryan Langerhans.

Igarashi took the loss for the 51s. Salt Lake reliever David Pauley earned his first win of the season.
