Las Vegas â€" The Las Vegas Wranglers announced that goaltender Mitch O’Keefe has agreed to terms with the team and will be returning to Las Vegas for the 2012-13 season.

O’Keefe, 28, led the Wranglers to a 5-0 start in the 2012 Kelly Cup playoffs, including a three-game sweep of the Utah Grizzlies in the first round. The 6’2’’, 210-pound goalie finished the 2011-12 season, his first with Las Vegas, with a 10-9-2 regular-season record (5-1-0 in playoff games), 2.74 goals-against average and .903 save percentage.

The Almont, Ontario native graduated from Ferris State University in 2008 after being named Rookie of the Year in 2005-06. Before coming to Las Vegas, O’Keefe appeared in net for the ECHL’s Elmira Jackals (2008-09) and Grizzlies (2009-10), and spent the 2010-11 season overseas with HK Jesenice of the Austrian Hockey League.
