Justin Grimm experienced a rarity on Wednesday night.
He lost.
For just the fifth time in 2012, the former Virginia High star was pinned with a loss as he suffered the defeat for the Class AAA Round Rock Express in their 8-5 Pacific Coast League setback to the Las Vegas 51s.
Grimm allowed seven runs on 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings pitched, while walking two and striking out none. It was his sixth outing of the season for Round Rock, the top affiliate for the Texas Rangers, and he is 1-1 with a 4.18 ERA.
Las Vegas joined the Detroit Tigers and Class AA Corpus Christi Hooks (twice) and San Antonio Missions as the only teams who have defeated Grimm this season.
The 23-year-old right-hander is a combined 11-5 with three teams this season.
