Las Vegas hockey coach saves a man in Boston Harbour. - Examiner.com

Heroes can come from all walks of life and yesterday a hero emerged from the hockey world. On Thursday head coach and general managers of the ECHL’s Las Vegas Wrangles-- Ryan Mougenel assisted in saving the life of a drowning elderly man in the Boston Harbour.

Ryan Mougenel was in Boston with his wife a native of the area and their 3 year old daughter. At around 4pm they were down at the Boston Harbour when all of a sudden the elderly man started to strip off his clothes and jumped into the Harbour. After a few strokes the man had gone under, not long after that the 54 year old was floating face down.

Ryan Mougenel who was on his cellphone at the time handed his wife the phone, he then jumped into the harbour in aid of the elderly man. 2 other good smartens also aided in the rescue of this man, Megan Blomberg -- a former lifeguard and another unnamed man.

From Bostons WHDH:
The three rescuers say they tried to pull the man up on to a water taxi. But they couldn't manage, so they got him close to a dock and waited for the police boat.
“We were definitely in the water for probably too long,” said Mougenel.
“We just held his mouth up. He was spitting out water,” said Blomberg.

The man was rushed to the hospital; his condition remains unknown.
