Former American League MVP Guerrero set to join 51s - MyNews3

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Vladimir Guerrero, a 16-year veteran signed by the Toronto Blue Jays in May, will join the Las Vegas 51s on Saturday.

The 51s begin a four-game series against Reno on Saturday at Cashman Field.

Guerrero had reported to extended spring training in Dunedin, Fla., and then appeared in four games for Single-A Dunedin of the Florida State League and batted .450 (9-for-20) with a double, four homers and eight RBIs.

Guerrero, a nine-time All-Star and 2004 American League with the Angels, has a career batting average of .318 with 449 home runs and 1,496 RBIs.

Las season, Guerrero appeared in 145 games for Baltimore and batted .290 with 13 home runs and 63 RBIs.
