Website Looks to Reunite Lost Pets with Owners - KLAS-TV

LAS VEGAS - A Las Vegas company has launched a nationwide online tool to help get lost pets reunited with their owners.

The daily deals website PETching.com has an interactive, lost-and-found section powered by Google maps.

If your pet goes missing, the free site allows you to post the pet's name, breed, where the dog or cat was last seen, reward information, and a picture.

PETching.com says just like old-fashioned missing posters, this service is another effective tool. When a pet leaves home, time is critical.

"Now that we are in a digital age, information can travel in seconds. The first three or four hours of a pet being lost is the most crucial time," said PETching.com Vice President of Marketing and Media Development Chance Lastra.

Likewise, people who find lost four-legged friends are going to the website to find their owners. The company says the website already has a number of lost pet stories with happy endings.
