Everblades take on Las Vegas Wranglers - Wink News

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Thousands of hockey fans will be packing into Germain Arena Friday night to cheer on the Florida Everblades as they take on the Las Vegas Wranglers. It's all to hopefully keep some shiney hardware at Germain Arena: the Kelly Cup.

The Everblades are facing off against the Wranglers in the first Kelly Cup Finals game to be played at Germain since 2005. The 7,200 seats in the arena all have signs on them. The team hopes everyone who comes out Friday night keeps their 8 and 0 home record going.

Friday night is game one of a three-game series that will be played in their home arena and the tickets sales are up. They've already sold more than 5,000 tickets. They're expecting the biggest play-off crowd ever.

This is the Blades third time to face off in the finals and it's the furthest they've every gotten. So they're hoping, third time's the charm.

The series resumes on Tuesday for game 4, but of course, the Blades want the w especially because there's the kelly cup at stake.
