LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The 22-year-old accused of sexually assaulting and killing a Las Vegas mother and daughter and nearly killing their husband and father with a hammer was due in court but waived his right to appear.
Bryan Devonte Clay Jr. was due for an evidentiary hearing Tuesday on two unrelated domestic violence cases.
Clay is accused of attacking his pregnant 16-year-old ex-girlfriend during arguments in February and March.
Clay remains jailed without bail on more serious charges that could get him the death penalty in the bloody April 15 attacks and slayings at a home. A 9-year-old and his 4-year-old brother were spared.
Investigators say that was an unprovoked, random attack.
