SACRAMENTO - The Sacramento Bee is reporting that Mason Magleby will transfer to play football at Sacramento State. Since the Hornets are an FCS (Division I-AA) program, he will not have to sit out a year to transfer.
Magleby was the third-string quarterback for Nevada last season, and was likely going to be the backup behind Cody Fajardo next season.
Magleby played sparingly for the Wolf Pack, completing 10-11 passes for 109 yards and four touchdowns last season. Magleby is a graduate of nearby Del Oro High School in Loomis, California.
The Wolf Pack should have four quarterbacks on their roster for next season, including Fajardo, Tanner Roderick, and Devin Combs. Hassan Henderson, from Las Vegas High School, recently gave his verbal commitment to Nevada.
